Digital Imaging

Dr. Yoo chooses carefully which and when radiographs are taken. There are many guidelines that we follow. Radiographs allow us to see everything we cannot see with our own eyes. Radiographs enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level, and analyze the health of your bone. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.

Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal. Dr. Yoo utilizes Digital Imaging Technologies within the office. With digital imaging, exposure time is about 80 percent less when compared to traditional radiographs. Digital imaging can also help us retrieve valuable diagnostic information. We may be able to see cavities better.

Digital imaging allows us to store patient images, and enables us to quickly and easily transfer them to specialists or insurance companies.

Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry offers a modern, minimally invasive approach to oral care, enhancing both comfort and precision. Using focused light energy, lasers allow for highly accurate treatments with minimal impact on surrounding tissues, leading to faster healing times and reduced discomfort. Lasers are particularly effective for gum treatments, helping to contour gums, remove bacteria, and treat periodontal disease with greater efficiency and less bleeding. They also minimize the need for sutures and speed up recovery, making procedures gentler and more convenient. With laser dentistry, patients can enjoy a more comfortable, efficient, and advanced dental care experience.

Areas of dental care that benefit from laser technology:

  • Cavity diagnosis and removal
  • Whitening teeth
  • Periodontal, or gum related, care
  • Pediatric procedures
  • Apthous Ulcer treatment (canker sore)
  • Frenectomy (tongue-tie release) without anesthesia or sutures
  • Root canals and apicoectomies
  • Crown lengthening, gingivectomy and other gum corrections

Dental lasers have been shown to be safe and effective for treating both children and adults.

How 3D CAD/CAM Imaging Improves Your Dental Care

Advanced 3D CAD/CAM imaging takes dental diagnostics and treatment planning to the next level, giving you the most precise and efficient care possible. Unlike traditional impressions or two-dimensional X-rays, this technology creates highly detailed 3D images of your teeth, gums, and jaw, allowing your dentist to see every angle with incredible clarity. This means more accurate diagnoses, better-fitting restorations, and treatment plans tailored specifically to your needs. Plus, the process is quick, comfortable, and helps ensure predictable, long-lasting results—so you can feel confident in your smile every step of the way.
